Now up to its sixth issue The Lifted Brow has grown into a vast and ambitious literary journal which is reminiscent of the early issues of McSweeney's and indeed featuring a number of their authors.Legend has it that the editor works in an underground parking garage in Brisbane and at one point sold cupcakes to pay for printing. The latest issue is an atlas of the world featuring writing by Douglas Coupland Christine Schutt Christos Tsiolkas and the late David Foster Wallace. Includes two CDs with music by The Cannanes Little Wings Eddy Current Suppression Ring Guy Blackman and Francis Plagne.
